| Choosing
a program that best meets your individual needs |
| Which reINVENTCNY
program is right for you? With choices that encompass the latest technology in
four differing areas, choosing the program that best meets your individual needs
can be challenging. |
|
Consider the following
questions when making your choice:
Is my goal a graduate degree?
Two of the certificate programs – Indoor Environmental
Quality, and Bioprocess Engineering – were specifically designed to serve
as a pathway toward a Master’s degree. While successful completion of a
program does not guarantee admission to a Master’s program, most courses
will meet partial requirements for a Master’s track in related disciplines
at either SUNY-ESF or Syracuse University.
A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or Architecture is required
for admission to these programs.

Is my goal to learn new skills?
If your goal is to learn new skills in the areas of Sustainable and Renewable
Energy, Bioprocessing, and Green Buildings, there are three Strategies Series that you may want to consider. Each consists of workshops, taught by different subject matter experts, that focus on skill building in these emerging technologies.
There are no degree requirements for participation in the Strategies Series.

Do I need CEU’s and/or PDH’s to maintain my professional license?
Both SUNY-ESF and Syracuse University are fully accredited universities and, as
such, are able to offer both CEU’s and the PDH’s necessary to maintain some professional licenses for coursework completed as part of the Indoor Environmental Quality, and Bioprocess Engineering certificate programs or the Strategies Series workshops.
It is suggested that you contact your professional association to determine which
classes are eligible for CEU or PDH credit and how many credits will be accepted.
